Getting a website built can feel uncertain if you have never done it before. You may wonder what happens after you pay, how long it takes and when you will see something. This is the process we follow on every project, in the order it happens.
Step 1: We understand your requirements
We start by asking questions: what your business does, who your customers are, and what the website must do for them. The clearer this is, the better the result. It helps if you have a few websites you like as examples.
Step 2: We plan and show you the structure
Before any design, we map out the pages, the features and how a visitor moves through the site. You see this structure first, so changes are cheap and quick at this stage.
Step 3: We design the frontend
Next we build what your customers will see: layout, colours, fonts and images, on mobile and desktop. You approve the look before we go further.
Step 4: We build the backend and show you progress daily
Then we develop the system behind the site: forms, admin panel, product catalogue, bookings or accounts. During this stage we share what has been done every day, so you are never left wondering, and you can give feedback while it is easy to act on.
Step 5: We test, add payments and go live
We test the site on different devices, check every form and link, and connect the payment gateway if you sell online. Then we put the site live on your domain.
Step 6: We help customers find you
A new website does not bring visitors on its own. After launch we work on SEO and digital marketing so the right people find and contact you.
How long does it take?
It depends on the scope. As real examples from our projects: a store website for a UK mattress retailer took 4 days, a UK bed retailer's site took 1 week, a student consultancy website took 2 weeks, a clinic management system took 1 month and a full courier platform took 2 months.
